Anne Ivah Stewart Hearn, 58, of Lake Charles, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Anne Ivah Stewart Hearn was born on September 2nd, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to James Stewart, Jr. and Lyndell Morris Stewart. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School in 1974, where she was a proud member of the Kilties as a tenor drummer. She then attended Northwestern State University and was a graduate of McNeese State University with a B.A. in History in 1978. After college graduation she worked at Cities Service Refinery in the purchasing department until she became a mother and homemaker. She will forever be remembered for her zany personality, her talkativeness, quick wit and her sincere generosity. She had a great love and knowledge of books of all kinds, especially history. She also loved to play the piano, watch old films, and was an animal lover who never turned away a stray. She is survived by her crazy cat Lulu and kitty Wilson, and was preceded in death by her favorite canine Rascal. She is survived by her beloved husband Paul Woodrow Hearn and their son James Chance Hearn (Las Vegas, NV). She is also survived by her mother, Lyndell Morris Stewart, her sister Jane Ellen White and brother-in-law James, her Father and mother-in-law Bishop and Mrs. J. Woodrow Hearn, three nieces, Paula Anne (Kenneth) Hilliard, Elizabeth Anne and Laura Katherine Smith, and three nephews, Christopher Dale White, and Woody and Dylan Hearn, as well as one great niece Madison Lynn Hilliard and one great nephew Braden Dale Hilliard. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Dale Marvin Stewart, her father James Marvin Stewart Jr., her maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Morris, fraternal grandparents Mr and Mrs. J.M. Stewart, Sr., as well as her aunt Mrs. Barney Walzel, her uncle Colonel H.G. Morris, and Cousin John Walzel. Anne, Paul and Chance loved to travel all over the world, and the many keepsakes they have given the family will be forever cherished. She will be intensely missed by everyone that was lucky enough to have her in their life - the amount of support the family received over the last weeks will always stand as a testament to the quality of person that she was. Her memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 3rd, with visitation at 12:30 pm. The service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA, and will be performed by her brother-in-law, Reverend Bruce Hearn.
