Annie Breaux, 89, of Sulphur passed away November 20, 2011 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Eddie Richard MS officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4-9p.m. with a rosary at 7p.m. in Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Tuesday in the funeral home at 8a.m. until time of service. Annie was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. After high school, she attended Nursing School, and began her career as a nurse for Dr. Loree Young. Later, she worked and retired from West Cal-Cam Hospital after 24 years of service. Annie was a longtime member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, where she was one of the first babies baptized. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Perpetual Adoration. Annie is survived by her loving caregiver, Penny Young Suarez and husband, Wayne of Sulphur, four nephews, Bobby Lancon, Ronnie Istre and wife, Debbie all of Sulphur, Donnie Breaux of Ft. Lauderdale, and Gary Breaux of Patterson, NY, one niece, Roxie Doucet of Sulphur, and one brother-in-law, John Breaux and wife, Evelyn of Sulphur. She was preceded in death by her husband, ONeil Breaux, two sisters, Anna Mae Lancon and Lucille Istre.
