Annie May Landry

May 7, 1928 — July 9, 2021

Annie May Doty Landry was called to her Savior on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the age of 93 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Ms. Landry was born in 1928 to Homer Charles Sr. and Edith Doty in Monroe, LA.  She married the love of her life, Francis Ewing Landry in Lake Charles and worked for the Olin Corporation until 1968 when her only son was born.  From then on, she was a joyful, dedicated, and loving homemaker.  During her younger years, Mrs. Landry enjoyed bowling and acting as the secretary for the Southwest Louisiana League.  In her later years, she enjoyed knitting scarves for family and friends - camouflage for the men and LSU for the ladies.  She loved traveling with her family, and they were blessed to have shared the last twenty-five years residing together in North Carolina, Louisiana, and ultimately Southaven, MS.  She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Collierville, TN.  Mrs. Landry will be most remembered for the great love and pride she found in watching her grandsons grow.

Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Francis Ewing Landry, Sr., her beloved son, Francis Ewing (Scooter) Landry, Jr. and four siblings, Flossielee Baugh, Edith Helene Johnson, Ruby Vincent and Homer Doty, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Katherine “Katie” Landry of Southaven, Mississippi; two grandsons, Erik Landry of Dallas, Texas and Michael Landry and wife Hannah of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 19, 2021 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Reverend David Buss will officiate.

In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through donations to Faith Lutheran Church, 507 New Byhalia Road, Collierville, TN 38017.
