"The Lord is My Shepherd" Skipper Boone was born to Margaret Moore and Antoine Boone of Eunice, died Wednesday July 30, 2014 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. Skipper graduated Eunice High School in 1960 and moved to Lake Charles in 1961. He worked for Pepsi Cola, IG Warehouse, Halliburton, and Farmers Rice Milling for 20 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and detailing his car and truck every weekend. He also enjoyed telling stories about growing up in Eunice and best of all being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved grandmother, Yola Risher, his father in law Sulie "Pop" Viator and brother-in-law, Ray Bogart. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Suzette Viator Boone and much loved daughter, Teri Dale Boone; brothers, Kenneth Boone and wife Carolyn, Tony Moore and wife Miranda, all of Lake Charles, sister, Sher Bogart, of Illinois; and mother-in-law, Eula D. Viator. He suffered greatly recently, but still told everyone who visited he loved them. Special thanks to Dr. Bryan Barootes, his "Canadian Buddy" and his nurse Brandi; our "dark daughter", Lisa; and the staff of LSU Medical for their kindness and love for many years. Dr. Craig Broussard, his pulmonologist, who would always put a smile on our faces, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Home Heath, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Oncology, Dr. Michael Broussard and the entire staff of second floor Oncology, thank you so much for your kindness and compassion. And finally a special thanks to our neighbors Cora and Jessie Seaward and Terry and Marla Young for always being there and keeping us grounded.
