Anthony "Tony" John Tringali

Anthony "Tony" Tringali, 73, of Lake Charles died at 4:19 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in his residence. Mr. Tringali was born on June 22, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a 1957 graduate of Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Tringali served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Tringali worked for the United States Post Office in Downtown Lake Charles as a clerk for over 37 years serving the people of Southwest Louisiana. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church for many years and served there as an usher. Mr. Tringali loved to run in his spare time and was a member of the Lake Area Runners Club where he won several trophies. He was an avid sports fan of the NY Yankees, NY Rangers, and NY Giants. Anthony is survived by his wife of four years, Mrs. Sue Shows of Lake Charles, LA, one daughter, Ann Marie Barmore of Spring, TX, one Goddaughter, Shelly Griffin of Illinois, one brother, Roy Tringali and wife Gail of Long Island, NY, one sister, Ann Leonetti of Brooklyn, NY, two step grandsons, Ethan Palay and Braden Daley. Mr. Tringali is preceded in death by his parents, Amelia and James Tringali, his first wife, Barbara Tringali, son-in-law, Frank Barmore, two brothers, Dominic and James Tringali, one Godson, James Tringali. His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday at 8:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
