Ardella Geraldine Fruge Pearce

Ardella Geraldine Fruge Pearce, 74, of Iowa passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Pearce was a lifelong resident of the Iowa area. She was a graduate of Marion High School and worked her younger years as a typist for the Clerk of Court's Office. She then married and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed Saturday Nights and joining her friends at Club 90 and later the VFW in Jennings for a night of French Music and dancing. She also enjoyed visiting with friends. Mrs. Pearce was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church.


She will be most remembered for her love of her family, children, grandchildren and her little dogs, Tia and Blue dog.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-five years, James Mack Pearce of Iowa; two daughters, Sonya "Tooty" Hoffpauir and husband Darrell of Gueydan and Vicki Elkins and husband Robert of Richard; one son, Robert Blaine "Bobby" Pearce and wife Mona of Sweetlake; three grandchildren, Shawnee Pearce and Wyatt Pearce, both of Sweetlake and Joshua Elkins of Richard and two step-sons, Nathaniel Hoffpauir of Ogden, UT and Samuel Hoffpauir of Lake Charles.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Hazel Pujol Fruge.


Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Thursday will be from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
