Ardena Maxine Butterfield Stacy, 92, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 12:30 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014 in her residence. Mrs. Stacy was born October 26, 1922 in St. Charles, IA, and was a native of Winterset, IA. She lived in Central Louisiana from 1952 to 1993 when she moved to Lake Charles. She retired as a secretary for Commonwealth Life Insurance Company in Alexandria after a number of years. She was a former Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pineville, LA and attended University United Methodist Church in Lake Charles. Mrs. Stacy was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women and was the State Treasurer and lifetime member of the Good Samaritan Club. She was also a member of God's Recycled Angels Choir for twelve years, the National Campers and Hikers, and the Mended Hearts. She enjoyed sewing in her younger years and was an avid camper. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all. Mrs. Stacy is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Clifford Raymond Stacy; sons, Ivan Butterfield and wife Jo of Missouri City, TX, Robert Butterfield and wife Louise of Dry Prong, LA, Fred Butterfield of Bunkie, LA, Charles Butterfield and wife Rita of Prospect, LA, and John Butterfield and wife Tina of Pollock, LA; daughter, Janis Butterfield of Montgomery, TX; step-son, Jerry Stacy and wife Barbara of Lake Charles; step-daughter, Madelyn "Pookie" McCallister and husband Larry of Lake Charles; sister, Nola Faye Drottz Charles of Bull Head City, AZ; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband of fifty years, Ivan W. Butterfield; brother, Carl Drottz, Jr. and sister, Sally Drottz. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and funeral service at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Charlie Langford will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville, LA. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville, LA. Pallbearers for the service will be Will Butterfield, Jacob Butterfield, Eddie Butterfield, Bob Butterfield, Jr., Josh Sanders, and Mat Tomlin.
