Arlanda Gwen Bass, 61, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 in a hospital. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on March 12, 1959. She attended Barbe High School and Delta School of Business. She worked for the Lake Charles Police Jury Detention center. She was easygoing, happy, and usually had a smile on her face. She loved to laugh and enjoyed good company, and would stay up late into the night laughing and walking down memory lane. She was always available if you needed someone to listen or shoulder to cry on. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. She was a proud and active member of the Attakapas Eagle Tribe and friend to Chief Jeb Duhon. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
Arlanda will be united in Heaven with her parents, Sherlyn Bass and Jennie Mae Duhon, and her brother, Arlyn Bass.
She is survived by her daughter Kaylin Mae Reber, her son Brandon Bass and Rashawn, their daughters, Angel, Maria and Nevaeh.
Her sisters; Carolyn Williams Biven, Charlotte Williams Downs and Jimmie of Lake Charles, Sherelyn Bass Daigle and Keith of Kinder, A'Coral Lee Bass Lantia and Vernon of Westlake, Delena Bass Ballard and Bill of Eolia, Missouri.
Her brothers: David Williams and Sherry, Ronald Bass of Lake Charles, and Gary Bass Edwards of Baraboo, Wisconsin
Also numerous nieces and nephews and grands.
Graveside memorial (date to be determined) in the summer.
