Arleen Marie Duhon, 88, of Hackberry passed away on October 12, 2018 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry, the Catholic Daughters, and sang in the choir. Arleen enjoyed fishing, ceramics, and sewing.
Arleen is survived by her two sons, James Duhon and Louis Kent Duhon and wife Cindy; her daughter, Danita Maria Mitchell and husband Jerry all of Hackberry; 10 grandchildren, Cherelle Blanchard, Nicole Trahan, Marciea Duhon, Melanie Courvelle, Chasitie Mitchell, Charitie Mancuso, Cade Mitchell, Landon Duhon, Brennan Duhon, and Erica Berwick; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin ‘Bud” Joseph Duhon; parents, Clarville and Estelle Sanner; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Hackberry at 10 A.M. with Father Arvind Minz, HGN officiating. Burial will be held in New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. at St. Peters Catholic Church Hall in Hackberry. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 15, at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
