Aron Joseph Richard

Aron Joseph Richard, 75, passed away in the comfort of his home on Thanksgiving Day,Thursday, November 26, 2015 surrounded by his beloved family. Aron was a native of Morse, LA and a resident of Sulphur for over 70 years. He was a graduate of Sulphur High, Class of 1959 and attended Sowella. Aron was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur, and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, in Assembly 2087. Aron worked and retired from Western Electric / Bell South and served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Cuban Crisis.   Aron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda Martin Richard of Sulphur; his daughters, Darnell Eastman and husband Scott of Lake Charles, Paula Havenar and husband Sam of Sulphur, and Donna Richard of Ragley, his son, James Richard and wife Tonya of Lake Charles; his sister, Ona Ormsby and husband Ron of Lake Charles; his brother, Lester Richard and wife Willie of Sulphur; his best friend and brother-in-law, Leroy Richard; 8 grandchildren, Ashley Parkes, Cade Eastman, Danielle Langley, Hannah Smith, Logan Ancelet, Amanda Richard, Jordan Richard and Zachary Richard; 6 great grandchildren, Kensington, Kemper, Tucker, Bella, Tripp and Aden. His pallbearers will be his nephews Gerald, Manny, Jason, Lance, Kenny Paul, and Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Virgie Richard.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. with visitation continuing on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.
