Arthur James Jimmy Cormier, 55, of Sulphur, passed away on December 3, 2011 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Edward Richard officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 3-9p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary at 6p.m. and will resume visitation on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 8a.m. until time of service. Arthur was a native of Church Point and a longtime resident of Sulphur. After graduation he worked as a mechanic at Jimmys Auto Repair. He later started his own lawn maintenance business. Arthur was a member of the Carlyss Lions Club, a Cub Master of Pack 80 Cub Scouts for 15 years and a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Arthur loved making wooden toys for children. Arthur is survived by his wife; Karen Cormier of Sulphur, two sons; James Cormier and wife, Sarah and Joseph Cormier, two sisters; Jane Oliver and Loria Hess and husband, Daniel and one brother; Marshal Cormier and wife, Christy all of Sulphur, and numerous nieces and nephews.
