Arthur L. Greene

On February 14, 2024, Arthur L Greene passed away peacefully in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 8:58 am. He was 86 years old.

Arthur L Greene is survived by his children, Tannia Greene Chasson and Charles Chasson of Moss Bluff, LA, Randy Greene of Alexandria, LA and Fort Walton Beach, FL, Richard Scott Greene and wife Jennifer Greene of Moss Bluff, LA; grandchildren, Derrick and Jamie Busby, Jennifer and TJ Cauthron, Ashley and Chuck Mier, Corey and Megan Chasson, Brandi Chasson, Brandon and Rachel Thompson, Anna Greene, Alexa Greene, Brandon Greene, Megan Greene, Jayleigh Greene; and 11 great-grand children.

Arthur L Greene is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Parker Greene; mother, Dolly King Burleson, father, London Greene of Bakersville, NC; grandson, Stephen Alexander Greene; siblings, Kenneth, Dennis, Bobby, Morris, Billy, and Ruby.

Arthur L Greene was born May 24, 1937 in Bakersville, NC. He joined the US Air Force at 17. He went on to work at Arco Polymers in Port Arthur, TX where he retired from at the age of 55.

Arthur L Greene married Carolyn Sue Parker on March 1, 1958. He was stationed at Lake Charles Air Force Base, which brought him here to meet the love of his life. Along the way they welcomed Tannia, Randy, and Scott. His children were his world. He loved to vacation with Tannia and Charlie. He also loved to sit around with Randy and Scott talking about all the cars they have had and worked on through the years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Arthur L Greene is scheduled for 2 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church. Rev. Harry Sommers and Rev. Jared Pugh will officiate. Burial will take place in Old Ritchie Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11 am until the start of the service.
