Arthur Ray Koonce

Arthur Ray Koonce, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home suddenly with no pain or suffering. He was 83 years of age and is now with the Lord. He was a faithful church goer and loved the Lord with all his heart. Arthur served his country as a Marine, he loved football, hunting and fishing. Arthur is survived by his wife, of 62 ½ years, Lynn Roberts Koonce of DeQuincy; four children, Karla Simmons of Sulphur, Rev. Dannie Koonce and wife, Sandra of Mound, TX, Dean Koonce and wife, Roxie of DeQuincy and Gay Lynn Cookie Koonce of DeQuincy; brother, Rev. Milton Micky Hughey Koonce of Mount Belvieu, TX; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosie Koonce; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Grace Church of DeQuincy with Rev. Penny Blackburn officiating.
