Audrey Ann Addison, 72, of Lake Charles died at 10:05 AM Sunday, July 17, 2011 in her residence with her loving family at her side.


Mrs. Addison was a born on August, 27, 1938 to Eva and Maxence Fruge in Sweetlake, Louisiana. She was a 1957 graduate of Lake Arthur High School. She was queen of the Jeff Davis Junior Livestock show in 1954 and flew to Washington D.C. to the Capitol for the Congressional Ball. Mrs. Addison has lived in Lake Charles for 53 years. Audrey sang in the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Choir. She loved to play pokeno with her friends and entertain. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling and fishing.


She is survived by her husband of 53 years Joseph E. Addison, Jr. of Lake Charles, two sons; Joseph "Joey" Addison III and wife Connie of Lake Charles, and James Farrel Addison of San Francisco, CA, two daughters; Kathleen Marie Addison of Austin , TX and Sharon Ann Hebert of Lake Charles, three grandchildren; Joseph "Jay" Addison IV and wife Liz, Eric James Addison and wife Carrie, Nicole Hebert all of Lake Charles, two step great grandchildren Ayden and Adalie.


Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rocky East will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until the time of services.
