Audrey Miller Granger, 89, of Bell City, LA, died at 3:00 AM on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in a local care facility. Mrs. Granger was born January 5, 1926 in Lake Arthur, LA and was raised in Grand Chenier. She married Pierre Granger on February 21, 1944. She was a member of St. Patrick's Chapel in Sweetlake, LA, where she was a longtime member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved to dance, listen to French music and travel. She cherished her time spent watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and attend livestock shows. Mrs. Granger retired as a cafeteria manager from the Cameron Parish School Board. Mrs. Granger is survived by her daughters, Cherlyn Guidry of Lake Charles and Wanda Granger of Lafayette; son, Wade Granger and wife Lynette of Sweetlake; grandchildren, Chris Granger and wife Erica and Heather Granger Greene and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Noah Granger, Hannah Granger, and Luke Greene. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Pierre Granger; and her parents, Shelton and Dozia (Duhon) Miller. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 6, 2015 in the St. Patrick's Catholic Chapel. Monsignor Harry Grieg will officiate. Burial will follow in Granger Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 Pm with a rosary at 6:30 PM and continue on Monday at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
