Audrey "Sis" Elizabeth Derouen Jacobson

Audrey “Sis” Jacobson, age 89, passed to her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 25, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Born in Bell City, LA to Offie “White” and Della DeRouen, Audrey was married to Robert E. Jacobson, of Tulsa, OK for almost 52 years before his passing December 25, 2003.

“Sis” enjoyed visiting and caring for family, friends and neighbors. She had a gift for conversation and being a caregiver. Even outside of her immediate family, she was known as a mother and grandmother to many. She made the best birthday cakes for those who were fortunate enough to get one! She was kind and faithful to check on family and friends and offer help and encouragement.   In her later years she brought much joy and wisdom to the Come Lord Jesus group of which she was a member.

She was deeply loved as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Gay Jacobson, Robin Jacobson Simon (Don), Julie Jacobson Reeves (Brent), and Lisa Jacobson; six grandchildren, Erica Jensen (Jason), Misty Bennett, Candice Simon Hebert (Archie), Kamron Simon (Brittany), Stacey David (Luke), Chad Reeves (Angie); 19 great-grandchildren; twin brother Aubrey “Buddy” DeRouen, sister Delores Wicks, half-brother Bryan DeRouen (Eddie), and half-sister Karen Conner (Don).

She is preceded in death by her parents White and Della DeRouen, brothers Charles and Jimmy DeRouen, husband Robert Jacobson, and great-granddaughter Adalyn David.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2020 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  Fr. Keith Pellerin will preside and Monsignor Jace Eskind will concelebrate.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  Inurnment will follow in Prien Memorial Park.  A rosary will be recited at 8:30 AM in the church with a gathering of family and friends to follow until the start of the service.
