August Bobby (A.B.) Ledoux

August Bobby (A.B.) LeDoux, 75, of Grand Lake passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. LeDoux was born and raised in Sweetlake. He attended and graduated from Grand Lake High School. He owned his own mechanic shop for years before working on the pontoon bridge in Grand Lake for Louisiana State Department. Mr. LeDoux ultimately retired as a mechanic for Cameron Parish Police Jury. A.B. was survived by four sons, Wayne LeDoux and wife Becky of Bromide, OK, Johnny LeDoux and wife Dianne of Grand Lake, Joe LeDoux and wife Suzone of Big Pasture, and Justin LeDoux of Grand Lake; one brother, Howard LeDoux and wife Audrey of Big Pasture; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (O'Blanc) LeDoux; parents, Sam and Cornilla LeDoux; and a brother, Lilton LeDoux. A.B. loved visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed playing jokes on others. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Starkovich will officiate. Burial will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a Cursillo rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 9:30 AM.
