Avery Jay Wilkinson

Avery Jay Wilkinson, 64, passed away on April 10, 2023, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Avery was born on May 12, 1958, in Hammond, Indiana, to Avery and Ethel Steward Wilkinson.  He was a two-time veteran of the United States Army with the ranking of Sergeant.  Avery loved being a truck driver and woodworking, but most of all he loved his grandbabies.   He could be found in his shop teaching the grandkids how to build something.  He will be dearly missed by many that knew him.

Avery is survived by his wife Maxine Wilkinson of Sulphur; daughter Olive Marie King (Dustin), son Avery Jay Wilkinson II (Lori), daughter Eve Duhon and son Robert Duhon Jr. (Aimee); grandchildren: Ethan Wilkinson, Amber King, Angela Wilkinson, Annabelle Fisher, Kyle Wilkinson, Emily Wilkinson, Amelia Duhon, Elijah Duhon; and his great grandchildren: Emma, Eden, Melody, Jamison.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday April 15, 2023, from  1 – 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Sulphur.
