Funeral services for Barbara Ann Barrentine will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Maplewood First Baptist Church. The services will be conducted by Pastor Ronnie Burke and Dr. Mark E. Broussard. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly with Rev. Bill Saxby officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 5-9 PM at Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 8:30 at Maplewood First Baptist Church until service time. Barbara Ann Pruitt Barrentine died at the age of 62 with her husband by her side. Barbara was born and raised in Edgerly, Louisiana and lived in Sulphur since 1979. She was a member of Maplewood First Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife to James K. Barrentine for 42 years. She was a beloved mother to Robert (Binky) Barrentine and wife Dielle, Scott Barrentine and wife Danielle, James Barrentine, Jr. and wife Rachelle, Wendy and husband Wayne Bergeron. She leaves behind her grandchildren, that she devoted her every breath to: Gavin, Caden, Alexa, Emma, Madison, Haley, Charles, Skylar, and Corey. Maw Maw will always be missed, but never forgotten. She also leaves behind five sisters: Bettye Wilfer of Sulphur and the late Donald Wilfer, Bonnie Broussard and husband Mark of Baytown, Texas, Patsy Gossett and the late Ray Gossett of Bee Branch, Arkansas, LaVera Barker and husband Ralph of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Bridgett Johnson and husband David of Sulphur and Beverly LeBleu and husband Loree of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three brothers, Barry Pruitt and wife Debbie of Orange, Texas and Ottis King and late wife Alieen of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and Billy Pruitt and wife Pam of Sulphur; and many loved nieces and nephews. We will always cherish the times we had, and our hearts are filled with joy knowing that she sits at her Saviors feet " whole, happy and complete.
