Barbara Ann Matte

Barbara Ann Theriot Matte, 71, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:13 AM, Friday, February 08, 2013 in her residence.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Mrs. Matte was very artistic and involved in arts and crafts. Her greatest joy was her family.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years Leon J. Matte; one son, Steven R. Matte and wife Mary; two daughters, Diana Dee Dee Felps and husband Norwood, and Marla Cradeur and husband Chad; seven grandchildren, Cory Matte and wife Kelly, Cade Matte, Cayla McQuiston and husband Justin, Amanda Bryant and husband Allen, Sharon Smith and husband Richard, and Kylie and Jax Cradeur; five great grandchildren, Gage, Raigen, Rylie, Zayn, and Madison; and a special cousin Carolyn Nezzio.

Her funeral will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 11, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
