Barbara Bulechek Reiser, 69, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015, in Kingwood, Texas of long-time cardiac complications. She was surrounded by her children and family. Born August 13, 1946, in Santa Monica, California, to Annelle and Russell Bulechek, she was a resident of Lake Charles her entire life until recently when she moved to Kingwood, Texas to be near her family. She was a 1964 graduate of Lake Charles High School and a member of the Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps. She graduated from McNeese State University and taught 5th grade for 10 years at R.W. Vincent Elementary in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was the center of her life. She drove every carpool and field trip, attended every practice and game, planned every party and event and headed-up every committee. She enjoyed every minute of it. She always said, “My family is my greatest accomplishment.” Her sense of humor was unyielding and her laughter contagious. She had a love for life that was inspirational and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Survivors include: her daughter Rebecca Ann “Becky” Reiser and wife Heather Brame Reiser of Nashville, Tennessee; son Robert Russell Reiser and wife Crystal Michelle Reiser of Huffman, Texas. Her grandchildren include Ethan Edward Brogie Reiser and Emma Everly Adelaide Reiser of Huffman, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Ernest Edward Reiser and her beloved pets Pebbles Reiser, Fudge Reiser, Boo-Belle Reiser, Angel Reiser, Dottie Reiser, KC Reiser and Pepper Reiser. Visitation will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Charles, LA on Tuesday, December 8, from 11AM until services at 1PM. The Rev. Jack Myers will officiate. Private inurnment will be at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Columbarium at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.
