Barbara Bobbye Monroe

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Consolata Cemetery. Honoring the life of Bobbye Monroe, 79, who died Saturday, March 9, 2013 following a brief stay in the hospital. Reverend Rob Tibbitts will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Giles Bradley, David Doyle, Kirby Jambon, Caleb Monroe, Joshua Monroe, Scott Monroe and Stephen Monroe.

She is survived by her husband Bennie Lee Monroe; three sons, Mike Monroe and his wife, Jan, Randy Monroe and his wife, Anne and Jeffrey Monroe and his wife, Mary, all of Lake Charles; grandchildren Jennifer Monroe Jambon, Jessica Monroe Bradley, Joshua Monroe, Caleb Monroe, Stephen Monroe, Scott Monroe and Kathryn Monroe; great-grandchildren Morgan Calhoun, Vivianna Bradley, Weston Bradley, Cash Monroe and Emily Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Mrs. Charles Shelton of Van, Texas, her brothers and sisters (Dorothy Shotwell, Juanita Maxfield, Richard Shelton, Marie Sparks, Gene Shelton), and her granddaughter Mallory Monroe.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday evening, March 11, 2013 and will continue Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
