Barbara Nell Doucet Boucher, 75, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:20 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in her residence.Mrs. Boucher was born January 21, 1938 in Duson, LA, raised in Rayne, LA and has lived most of her adult life in Lake Charles. She was the owner and operator of Bobby's Plaster Shop with her father and also owned her own gift shop for a number of years. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was very strong in her faith. Barbara enjoyed painting, music, gardening and fishing when she was able. She loved her family and had no enemies. She will be remembered for her kind and caring personality.Mrs. Boucher is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Placide Phil Boucher; sons, Tommy Boucher and wife Mary Jane and Richard Boucher, all of Lake Charles; brothers, Clifford Doucet and wife Sue of LeBleu Settlement and Jimmie Doucet and wife Roxie of Sulphur, LA; sister, Gaynel Hannon and husband Ikey of Vidor, TX; uncle, Ivy Quibodeaux and wife Louise of Sweetlake, LA; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Normie Doucet.Her funeral will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jim Reynolds will lead the service. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
