Barbara Davidson

Barbara Ann Primeaux Davidson, 71, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at 4:11 PM on Monday, May 1, 2023 in a Lafayette hospital.

Ms. Davidson was born December 12, 1951 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of LaGrange High School.  She worked at the plants for fifteen years as fire-watch and safety.  More recently, she worked fourteen years at Cedarwood Manor, a work release facility for women.  She loved her time there and made numerous friends throughout the years.  Ms. Davidson was very outgoing and loved visiting people and making new friends.  She had a smile and a personality that would light up a room.  She was a member of Water’s Edge Church.  Ms. Davidson enjoyed searching for treasures at garage sales and dumpster diving, loved playing Bingo, staying active and walking.  She also had a great love for angels and butterflies, but her true love in life was for her family and her grandchildren.

Ms. Davidson is survived by her son, Richard Moore (Rebecca) of Lake Charles; daughter, Tiffani Nicosia of Lake Charles; brother, Terry Wayne Primeaux of Houston, TX; brother-in-law, Ralph Moore of Sulphur; best friend, Ronald Vincent of Lake Charles; close cousins, Sandra Franques, Wanda Guidry, and Carolyn Richard; nephews and niece, Chris Primeaux, Chad Kingham, Kevin Kingham, and Kayla Moore; grandchildren, Jordan, Haleigh Shayne, Aly Mae, Maddie, Peri, and Carter; and her fur baby, Izzie Mae. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Primeaux and Effie Mae Spell; brothers, Carol “Uncle Bubba” Primeaux and Frankie Primeaux; and sister, Lisa Moore.

Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A gathering of family members and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to Dr. Sherrie Eakin and to her constant companion, Ron, for the care and compassion given.
