Barbara Hill

August 18, 1940 — January 10, 2022

Barbara Hill, 81, passed from this life to the loving arms of her Savior January 10, 2022. She was born August 18, 1940, to Edward and Tommie Fox.

Barbara was an avid reader who always kept her library card and kindle reader close by. Her love for reading translated into a love for learning that never stopped until the day she passed. She earned many continuing education certificates by taking online classes. Barbara loved playing bingo whenever the opportunity arose. Her children honor her saying she was a hard-working mother who loved her kids and grandchildren. Barbara was also a dead shot with her flip flop when she needed to get her point across to her kids. She was a devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Roxanne Hill and companion Lloyd Keith; sons, Vance Lee Hill (Tammy), and David Eugene Hill (Pam); She is survived by four grandchildren, Jeremy, Rusty, Jessica, and Joshua. eleven great grandchildren Gayla, Zachary, Jaden, Nolen, Rowan, Zeauxi, Theo, Tommy, Tucker, Phoebe, Jaxson, and Liam:  and one great-great grandchild Macie Holden.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Hill; one grandchild; Isaac Fox Hill sister, Margaret McCall.

Funeral services will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral home in Sulphur, La. Tuesday December 11, 2022, at 2 pm with burial to follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 until time of service at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
