Barbara Theriot

Barbara Theriot, 78, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

She was born on October 27, 1942, in Kinder, LA to Louis and Eula Mae Courmier.

She enjoyed watching her great grandchildren’s ball games, working in her garden, reading, cooking, spending time outdoors, and watching game shows on television.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Theriot, Sr.; children, Christopher Manuel (Kim) and Charles Manuel (Cyndy); stepchildren, Agnes Boudoin (Keith), Tina Horn (Ernie), Karen Deshotel, Michelle Guidry (Ricky), and Martin Theriot, Jr. (Anna); 18 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Preston Manuel; daughter, Christine Manuel; grandson, Charles Manuel, Jr.; and her parents.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11 a.m.  Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will take place in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
