Barbara Toothman

Barbara Toothman, 88, passed away on October 25, 2022 in a local hospital.

She was born on December 23, 1933 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Hubert and Francis French. She grew up in the Barrackville, West Virginia area before her family moved to Lake Charles in 1969. Barbara was an avid sports fan and was especially passionate about the Lake Charles Ice Pirates. She enjoyed working for many years at Trim-A-Tree By Marie.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Pettefer (Donald) and Barry Toothman (Gail); grandchildren, James Pettefer (Becki), Ashley Serrette (Rudy), Logan Toothman, Angela Hall, and Timothy Hall; great grandchildren, Hailie Pettefer, Caleb Pettefer, Aloura Serrette, Jagger Serrette, Gavyn Serrette, Annabeth Toothman, and Asa Listi; daughter in law, Leah Toothman Latiolais (Vicki); and numerous other beloved family in West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn B. Toothman; son, Lewis Brett Toothman; and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10 am. Rev. Paul Pettefer will officiate. Her visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4 pm until 8 pm.
