Barney S. Wescott, Iv

Barney Sumerlin Wescott, IV, 45, of Toledo Bend died, Monday, July 19, 2010 in his residence.

Mr. Wescott was born February 1, 1965 in Baimbridge, MD and was a life resident of Lake Charles. He attended LaGrange High School. He moved to Toledo Bend several years ago as he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and guiding. He worked many years as a screen painter for Ragtime T's. Mr. Wescott also enjoyed playing with his dog "Buddy".

He leaves to honor his memory, his daughter, Kristina Granger of Tipton, IA; his mother, Sandra Wescott Schulz and husband James Sr. of Lake Charles; sister, Shari David and husband Alvin of Lake Charles; one grandchild, Brody Johnston of Tipton, IA; nephew and niece Ross and Rachel Key of Lake Charles; aunts, uncle and cousins. He also leaves his ex-wife, Barbara Wescott and his friend Suzanna Brunet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Barney S. Wescott, III; grandmother, Ida McDonald Boutte and grandparents, Barney and Byrda Wescott.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
