Basile Khoury

Basile Khoury, 34 of New Springville, Staten Island, NY, died Friday in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY.

Born in Demascus, Syria, he moved to Annadale, NY in the 1980's, and later settled in New Spirngville, NY. He became an American citizen in 2004.

Mr. Khoury graduated from Strayer University in 2007, earning his bachelor's degree in science and computer networking.

He spent several years working as a computer network administrator.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching baseball and football. He also loved to play poker.

Mr. Khoury was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Huguenot, NY.

Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Jennifer Lambert-Khoury; his parents, Ibraham Al-Khoury and Mari Al-Chikh, and his sister, Sahar Khoury and Basela Llonch; mother-in-law, Wanda Farnell Lambert; father-in-law, Daryl Craig Lambert; and a brother-in-law, Joel Lambert all of Lake Charles.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon George Carr will officiate.
