Beatrice (Breaux) Broussard Hebert, 96, of Lake Charles passed away at 3:05 AM on Friday, August 11, 2017 in a local care facility.
Ms. Hebert was born on January 29, 1921 in Crowley where she was a graduate of St. Michael’s Catholic School. She had resided in Lake Charles for the past 64 years. Ms. Hebert was a bookkeeper for Sears and Muller’s before retiring after many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1 and was also a devout Catholic and a long time member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
She enjoyed being outdoors in her yard gardening. She also loved to sew and quilt but she mostly took great pride in cooking meals for family gatherings.
Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Jerry Broussard (Linda) of Cypress, TX, Thomas D. Broussard (DeAnna) of Lake Charles, and Beatrice Broussard Janssen (Dr. Michael Brown) of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Jerry II, Robert, Karen, Donald, and Susan Broussard, Shelly Gilbert, and Corby Wilk; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Broussard; granddaughter, Deana Broussard Mallett; grandson, Clifton Broussard; and seven siblings.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to her caregiver and guardian angel, Kim Francis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 10:30 AM.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. Tim Gilbert, Dr. Michael Brown, Chris Broussard, Alan Garrett, Corby Wilk, and Rodney Wilk.
