Ben Franklin Frye

Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Frye, 81, of Sulphur passed away on June 11, 2016 in his residence. Ben proudly served his country in the U S Marine Corps during the Korean and Vietnam Wars retiring after 21 years as a Gunnery Sergeant. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard and cooking for friends and family. Ben will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ben is survived by his daughter, Angela Oliver of Sulphur; his son, Thomas Frye and wife Wanda of Sylvester, GA; 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Katie, Nathan, and Thomas, Jr.; 4 sister in laws, Donna, Joanna, Sherline and Angie; 2 brother-in-laws, Terry and Gerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Frye; the mother of his children, Carolyn Frye; his son. Michael Vincent; his parents, and numerous sisters and brothers.

A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 11 A.M. till 1 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss following the gathering at 1:30 P.M. under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home..
