Ben Joseph Todd, Sr.

Ben Joseph Todd, Sr., 78, of Bell City, LA died on Friday, September 13, 2013 in a local hospital. Mr. Todd was born on December 16, 1934 in Iowa, LA and was a lifelong resident of Holmwood, LA. He was in partnership with his brother Jimmy in farming, cattle, and Todd Bros Trucking. He is survived by his three sons, Brian Todd and wife Lindy of Hornbeck, Tommy Todd and wife Liz of Iowa, and Howard Todd of Holmwood; two daughters, Myra Regan and husband Mike of Lake Charles and Jennifer Todd of Seattle, WA; a sister, Betty Ann Todd of Holmwood; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Maffle Billedeaux Todd; sons, Timothy Wayne Todd and Ben Joseph Todd, Jr.; his parents, Webster James Todd, Sr. and Eva Babin Todd; a sister, Katherine Todd Alito; and a brother, Webster James Todd, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until the start of the services in the funeral home. Pallbearers serving will be: Gerald Edwards, JW, Ty, Colin, Hunter, and Tyler Todd, Brandon Harrington, and Sammy Saloom. The family wishes to express a special thank you to his caretaker, Kendra Landry and also to Dr. Kohler and his staff.
