Bernice Peveto

Bernice Peveto,  82, of Sulphur passed away on September 1, 2018 in her residence. She was a native and life-long resident of Sulphur. Bernice was member of Our Lady of laSalette Catholic Church, being very active in Our Lady’s School with her children. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and dancing.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lynn Sweat and husband Ricky of Sulphur; 2 grandchildren, Chance Granger of Sulphur and Beth Briscoe of Oberlin, LA; 5 great grandchildren, Jaz Briscoe, Shelby Briscoe, Amicelle Briscoe, Jakoeby Sonnier, and Javawn Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, N.H. “Sonny” Peveto, Jr.; 2 daughters, Sue Parrish and Cindy Peveto; parents, Columbus and Clarie (Richard) Vincent; 8 brothers; and 1 sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 12 – 9 P.M. with a rosary at 7 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Wednesday, September 5, at 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the service. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice and her caregivers who took such great care of her.
