Bernita J. Tramonte

Bernita J. Tramonte, 85, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:38 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Tramonte was born June 30, 1932 in Basile, LA, where she lived until moving to Lake Charles in 1948. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was active with the Catholic Daughters. She volunteered her time at St. Patrick Hospital during the 1980’s as a Pink Lady. Mrs. Tramonte loved life, loved to dance, enjoyed visiting with friends and never met a stranger; she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Tramonte is survived by her children, Johnny Tramonte, Nancy Tramonte Henry and husband Bobby, and Anthony Tramonte and wife Dana, all of Lake Charles; sister, Sue Johnson Clair and husband Henry Clair; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her husband, Angelo Victor Tramonte, Sr.; and sons, Angelo Victor Tramonte, Jr. and Nathan Alan Tramonte.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:40 PM with a rosary at 12:00 PM.
