Bert William Mcgavock

Bert William McGavock, 78, of Sulphur, LA. passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on January 1, 2023, at a local care facility. Bert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the chemical industry at PPG for over 35 years. Bert’s favorite hobby was his fishing. Bert loved his faith and studied the bible religiously. His personal ministry was giving to others.
Those left to cherish Bert’s memory are his children, Shannon McGavock, Danielle McGavock, Ferrell McGavock (Terri); grandchildren, Austin McGavock, Kaylee Ackerman, Morgan Constance, Bryce Figari, Kenzie Findley, Kieran Findley, Kaileb Findley, Landen McGavock; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Rhandi Badgett, Kempa Werner, Beverly Collins.
Bert is preceded in death by his wife Doye McGavock; son, Trevlin McGavock, and parents, Bert McGavock and Addie Badgett.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Big Woods Cemetery Pavilion. Burial has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Pastor Jay Lawson will officiate. Words of comfort may be left at www.robisonfuneralhome.com
