Bess "Lee" Cole

Bess L. Cole, 82, of Sulphur, LA passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Lee was born on August 26, 1941, in Dequincy, LA to Claude and Carolyn Cole. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a Sulphur High School Graduate. She worked for over 25 plus years for the Clerk of Court’s office for the City of Sulphur.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two children, Michael Aleshire and wife Mary and Mitchell Aleshire and wife Patricia; 5 grandchildren, Megan Aleshire, Monica Begnaud and husband Brinn, Morgan Aleshire, Michael C. Aleshire, and Matthew Aleshire; 4 great grandchildren, Owen, Oliver, and Isabel and one on the way; one niece, LaJauna Jackson; and one cousin, Oralee Perkins.

Lee is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, J Dyke Aleshire and Ivy “Bobby” David; and one sister, Betty Cole.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur, LA. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Alston Cemetery following services. Fr. Tim Goodly will officiate services.
