Bettie Mae Achter

Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Mae Achter, 70, of Sulphur, will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10 am in the Robison Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery, North. Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 from 3-9 pm and Saturday from 8 am until time of service all at Robison Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Geraldine Black; two brothers, Donald Black and Robert Black; and sister, Doris Payne. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Wayne Achter of Sulphur; daughter, Shelly Pizano and husband Javier of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Megan Merrow, Samantha Merrow, and Troy Merrow all of Sulphur; brother, John D. Black of Sulphur; two sisters, Sandra Eddy and Joy Anthony, both of Missouri; a host of other family and friends. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved her flower garden and loved spending time with her family.
