Betty A. Landry Huber, 73, of Lake Charles passed away, Friday, July 23, 2010 in her residence.
She was a native of Lafayette, and lived in Lake Charles since 1958. Mrs. Huber was a graduate of St. Charles Academy in Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University, pledging to Tri-Delta Sorority. She was a member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception and was a member of the Choir. Mrs. Huber enjoyed cooking and loved traveling, which she did extensively throughout the world and was a member of the "Poker Club".
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Huber Huml of Houston, TX; three sons, Chris Huber and wife Pam, Hans Huber and wife Janice, and Kurt Huber and wife Eloise all of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren, Allison and Katey Huber, John Huml, Maximilian , Isabella, and Butterbean Huber, and Henry, Leo, and Felix Huber; one sister, Jane Comeaux and husband Dr. Paul Comeaux of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Huber.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 26, 2010 at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Monsignors Jace Eskind and Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, with a scripture service at 5:00 PM in the funeral home.
