Betty Ann Mott Vidrine

January 27, 1937 — March 29, 2016

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Mott Vidrine, 79, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

 

Mrs. Vidrine was born in Elton on January 27, 1937, to Urban Mott and Marie Bourque. While attending LaGrange High School she worked alongside her best friend at Palace Sweet Shop and Winegarten Grocery, before graduating in 1955. Mrs. Vidrine enjoyed attending her children’s activities while raising them, loved spoiling her grandchildren with ice cream sandwiches and cooking for her family . She spent countless hours over the years knitting and sewing. Mrs. Vidrine was a Christian woman of faith, devout Catholic and member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her faith.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 61 years, Earsby Joseph Vidrine of Lake Charles; four children, Grant Vidrine and wife Teri of Fulshear, TX, Vickie Faulk and husband Jeff of Lake Charles, LA, Tammy Pilola and husband Pat of Clear Lake City, TX, and Brian Keith Vidrine and wife Leigh Ann of Millersville, MD; grandchildren, Jay Vidrine, Eric Vidrine, Ryan Vidrine, Garrett Faulk, Aaron Faulk, Laura Van Olst, Sean Pilola, Drew Pilola, Jordan Pilola, Lilly Vidrine, and Olivia Vidrine; five great grandchildren, Colin, Caleb, Adyn, Sofia, and Rhys and her brother-in-law, Glenn Vidrine.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Exmae Moreaux, Velma Marie Mott, Thelma Elizabeth LeJeune and Edna Mary Mott; and a grand-daughter, Virginia Pilola.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 1st, 2016 at St. Margaret Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Joseph Pilola will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers for services will be her grandsons.
