Betty Broussard

Betty Broussard, 84, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 in a local care facility.

She was born on February 22, 1936 in Longville, LA to William and Farah Gilbert.

She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff where she was an active member. She will also be remembered as an excellent cook and seamstress.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, John Horn (Sissy), grandchildren, Sarah Rigdon (Donovan) and Jennifer Richardson (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Darby Rigdon, Marleigh Rigdon, and Hayden Rigdon; brother, Harry Gilbert; sister, Barbara Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Broussard; parents; five brothers; and one sister.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Rev. Bill Saxby will officiate. Burial will take place at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA following the service. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Friday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
