Betty Desormeaux

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Desormeaux, 81, of Hackberry, La, will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10 am in the Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, La. Reverend Johnny Mounce will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, November 22, 2010 from 6-9 pm with a rosary at 7pm. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Hartman of Lake Charles, La, Juanita Kottemann and husband Michael of Slidell, La, and Carla Hebert and Kevin of Hackberry, La; two brothers, Charles W. Wright and wife Effie and John B. Wright, all of Hackberry, La; sister, Maurina LeJeune and husband Ray of Hackberry; seven grandchildren, Eric Hartman and wife Laura, Allen Desormeaux, Victoria Kottemann Crowe, Emile Desormeaux and wife Vanessa, Peter Kottemann and wife Cristina, Heath Hebert, and Angelina Kottemann; and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Harleigh Crowe. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Alvin Joseph Desormeaux and brother, James B. Wright. She was a native and longtime resident of Hackberry and a graduate of Hackberry High, Class of 1946. She worked for Cameron Parish Council on Aging, delivering meals. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry.
