Betty J. Suire

Betty J. Suire, 74, of Topsy, LA died at 6:15 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in a Lake Charles hospital.

Mrs. Suire was born February 13, 1938 in Abbeville, LA and was a 1955 graduate of Abbeville High School. She was a member of the Catholic faith and has lived in Topsy, LA since 1986. She loved to crochet and will be missed dearly by all who loved her.

Mrs. Suire is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Joseph Suire of Topsy, LA; sons, Keith Suire of Topsy, LA and Kevin Suire of Topsy, LA; grandson, Keith Joseph Suire of Deer Park, TX; great-grandchildren, Nathan John Suire and Alex Jay Suire of Arkansas; and sister, Diana Gail Guidry and husband Patrick of Abbeville, LA.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janell Touchet; and parents, Francis and Edia St. Amant.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan. Burial will follow in Kaplan Cemetery in Kaplan, LA. Visitation will be at Vincent Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service.

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to Dr. Kohler and his staff for the excellent care given. Also, a word of thanks to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital 2nd floor and 8th floor staff, especially Becky Johnson, also, Kathy Ardoin and family, Monica Mouton and family, Kristi Miller, and the many others who were dear to her heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
