Betty Jo Wilks Lejeune

Betty Jo Wilks LeJeune, 85, of Sulphur went to meet her Heavenly Father on May 11, 2020. She was a life-long member of Eastwood Pentecostal church and First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur. Betty Jo enjoyed cooking, sewing and baking. She dearly loved taking care of her grandbabies.

Betty Jo is survived by her six children, Charles R. Wilks and wife Marsha, Geri Heard and husband Richard, Joann Fontenot and husband Leo, Larry W. Wilks and wife Earline, Eddie R. Wilks and wife Angela and Mary Vincent and husband Russell; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Charles H. Wilks; her second husband, James LeJeune; her son, Ernest L. Wilks; loving grandparents, William “Papi” Lyons and Mary “Mamie” Lyons; 3 brothers, Harry Bellard, Wilton Bellard and Ray Lewis Bellard.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 3:30 P.M. at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Harlan Morgan officiating.
