Betty Lou Oliver

Betty Lou Venable Oliver, 73, died Monday, July 25, 2016 in New Orleans at Ochsners Hospital surrounded by her family. Betty affectionately known as Maw Maw, to her entire family lived in Carlyss with her beloved spouse, James Oliver of 54 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed bingo, the church library, and being with her entire family as much as possible.

Betty is survived by her three children, Michael Oliver and wife Kitty, Angela LeBlanc and husband Paul and Michele Oliver; her7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with Rev. Bino Francis, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. with a rosary at 7 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.
