Betty Rae (Noler) Leibee

Betty Rae (Noler) Leibee, 93, of Westlake, LA passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022.

She was born August 12, 1928 to John and Bessie Noler in Friend, NE.  She married Robert Leibee on April 22, 1950 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and in 1954 they moved to Westlake, LA. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed being involved in her children’s school activities and after school activities. After her children grew up, she enjoyed traveling. Betty is a current member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles, LA where she was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and worked many years at the now disbanded Lutheran Braille Center.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 71 years, Robert Leibee of Westlake; children, Mary Allmon of West Monroe, Nancye Leibee of Westlake, and John Leibee of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Noler and Bessie Louise (Johnson) Noler; brother, Jack Noler; and son-in-law, Steve Allmon.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles, LA, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Rev. Charles Miller will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Zastrow Cemetery, Cordova, NE.  Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles, LA or to a charity of your choice.
