Beulah Fontenot, 87, of Sulphur died at 3:05 AM on Monday, July 1, 2013 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Fontenot was born on September 17, 1925 in Lake Charles and lived all of her life in the Lake Charles/Sulphur area. She was a dietician, retiring from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fontenot was a member of South City Church of Christ.
She enjoyed cooking for her family and was a devoted wife and mother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David Fontenot and wife Renee of Moss Bluff and Chester Fontenot of Sulphur; a sister, Bertha Raines and husband Ed; a brother, Albert Manuel and wife Collette; and a sister in law, Patsy Manuel all of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Hubert Fontenot; a son, Victor Fontenot; her parents, Joseph and Alice Manuel; and four siblings, Enola Manning, Donna Harvey, Gilbert Manuel, and J.M. Manuel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Am on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Veillon will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
