Beulah Mae Bellard, 80, of Lake Charles died at 4:45 PM on Friday, May 13, 2011 in her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Mrs. Bellard was born in Hathaway and lived in the Jennings area before moving to Lake Charles for 63 years. She worked for W. T. Grant and also Montgomery Wards. Mrs. Bellard volunteered for Calcasieu Council on Aging. She was a member of the VFW W.B. Williamson Post #2130 Ladies Auxiliary, American Cancer Society, and Cajun French Music Association. Mrs. Bellard was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she belonged to the Catholic Daughter's.
She enjoyed many things, including crabbing with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Cynthia Foreman and her partner, Freda and Sandra LaCaze and husband Dennis; a son, R.J. Foreman and wife Connie all of Lake Charles; three sisters, Delores Guidry and Annette Bennett both of Lake Charles and Dorothy Daigle of Evangeline; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Wilson; two sisters, Laura Miller and Laurice Beard; and a brother, Laurent Miller.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2011 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
