Beverly Ann Romero

Beverly Ann Romero, 72, passed away on October 13, 2018 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Romero was very involved with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a Campfire leader, softball coach, and helped with Cub Scouts and 4-H events. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She also loved her poodles, Zoey, Gabby, Shay, and Shelby.

She will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Gene Romero of Lake Charles; four children, Ernest Romero (Daryl) of Sulphur, Deborah Weeks (Gary) of Lake Charles, Robin Hidalgo (Chris) of Westlake, and James Romero (Kim) of Westlake; six grandchildren, Cagney Romero of Lake Charles, Casie Escobedo of Lafayette, Logan Romero of Lake Charles, Jordan Johnson of Texarkana, TX, Brittany Duhamel of Bentonville, AR, and Joseph Leblanc of Sulphur; ten great grandchildren, and cousin, Jimmy Benoit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manson and Viola Vincent; and brother, Paul Roy Vincent.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 11AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Deacon Harold Nixon will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday, October 16 and will resume Wednesday morning at 10AM until the start of the service. A rosary will be held at 6PM on Tuesday evening.
