Billie Faye Brashear Rossiter

Billie Faye Brashear Rossiter, 67, of Lake Charles, LA, was received into heaven at 3:45 PM on Monday, October 11, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Rossiter was born December 14, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA, where was a 1973 graduate of Barbe High School and a member of their first graduating glass.  She was always giving of herself and worked childcare, ambulance and medical transportation and cleaned homes and her church throughout the years.  Mrs. Rossiter was a past member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and current member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, traveling, and RVing, and especially loved her trips to Virginia and Texas, and had a love for her dogs.  She will always be remembered as a giving soul with the kindest heart.  Resilient and full of love, she was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Mrs. Rossiter is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Steve Rossiter; son, Kim R. Rossiter and wife Lori; daughter, Kristine Seaward; brothers, Keith Brashear, Kurt Brashear and wife Rhonda, and Bobby Brashear and wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Pam Brashear; grandchildren, Christian Seaward, Briley Rossiter, Madison Seaward, and Kamden Rossiter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Jean Richard Brashear; twin brother, Bennie Brashear; and granddaughter, Ainsley Renee Rossiter.

Her memorial mass will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Father Keith Pellerin will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary at 10:00 AM.

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Christus St. Patrick Hospital for the loving and compassionate care that was provided to her.
