Billy Gene Ewing

Billy Gene Ewing, 73, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, June 02, 2023 in a local healthcare facility.

Mr. Ewing was born July 8, 1949 to Eddie John Ewing, Sr. and Rita Borel Ewing.  A graduate of Sulphur High School, he was raised and educated in Sulphur and lived most of his life in Lake Charles.  His passion was music and playing guitar with a local band.  He loved people, never met a stranger and had a genuine love for animals.  

He leaves to honor his memory, three brothers, Eddie Ewing, Jr., Ted James Ewing and wife Cynthia and Jack Lee Ewing , all of Sulphur; two sisters, Jane Dutil and husband Shelton of Delcambre and Joan Helen Duprey of Las Vegas, NV and dear friend, Jo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cathy Ann Caldwell and sister-in-law, Henrietta Estelle Ewing.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 07, 2023 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Darrel Cline will officiate.  In respect of his wishes, visitation was private.
